Automations

Choose when an automation starts

Pick the moment that starts it: a new lead, a stage, a sign-up form, a tag or a confirmed payment.

Steps

  1. On Automations click New Automation, give it a Name only your team sees.
  2. Pick Starts when: a new lead arrives (from any source, or one only), a lead reaches a stage, a sign-up form is submitted, a tag is added, or a payment is confirmed.
  3. Fill the box that appears for it: Only for leads from, Stage that starts it, Which sign-up form or Which tag.
  4. Tick Stop when they reply to stop following up once the lead answers, then Save and add steps.

Good to know

Leads from a sign-up form that has its own automation get that one instead of the general new-lead one.
Untick Active to pause just this automation. Run follow-up automations in the Leads settings pauses them all.
An automation stops for a lead that is marked Won or Lost, unless it is the one that starts at that stage or on a confirmed payment.

A lead reaches a stage however it gets there: moved by hand, on the board or in the mobile app, by an automation step, by a note on a New lead, or when a Lost lead writes again (back to Contacted).
