Remind customers automatically when a bill is overdue

Switch on automatic payment reminders: a customer with a bill past its due date gets an email or WhatsApp, and another until it is paid.

Steps

  1. Open Notifications in the side menu → Notification settings, or tap Turn on next to Automatic payment reminders in Settings → Notifications.
  2. Under Reminders, find Automatic payment reminder and switch on Email, WhatsApp or both. It stays off until you do.
  3. Below it, pick First reminder: on the due date, or 1, 3, 7, 15 or 30 days after. It saves by itself.
  4. Pick Then: every 3 days, every week, every 15 days or every month, while the bill stays unpaid.
  5. Each morning at about 10 am, every customer with an overdue bill gets one reminder with the overdue amount and the bill number. The email lists each overdue bill.
  6. Every reminder is in the Notification log. Tap the eye on the row to see the message before you switch it on.

Good to know

Due is the pay-by date on a credit bill, else the delivery date, else the bill date, as in Accounts → Receivables. Only the overdue amount is asked for, never more than the customer owes.
Not sent to walk-in sales, customers with no email or phone, anyone who replied STOP, or anyone you reminded by hand from the WhatsApp page in the last 3 days.
Email goes only from your own business email and WhatsApp only from your connected number. On Official WhatsApp it goes as the approved payment-reminder message.
