Add a customer to your shop

Save a buyer once, then pick them at the counter. Name, phone and area are the only required fields.

Steps

  1. In the side menu open Customers and click New Customer.
  2. Under Basic Information type the Full Name and a 10-digit Phone Number.
  3. Under Location & Address fill Area — it is required. Add Address, PIN Code, City and State if you deliver.
  4. For a business buyer add their GST Number under Business & Tax, and pick a Pricing Group if you sell at more than one rate.
  5. Tick Customer agreed to get offers on WhatsApp only if they said yes; the form keeps when it was ticked.
  6. Click Create Customer. The buyer now appears in Customers, and you can pick them on Start POS Order.

Good to know

If you type an Email, the buyer is sent a mail with a link to set a password for their account with you. Leave Email empty if you do not want that.
The same name with the same phone number cannot be saved twice. Two different names may share one phone.
Does the buyer already owe you from before? Click Customer owes me from before? and enter the Pending amount owed. It becomes an outstanding invoice on their account.

A cash sale needs no customer record at all: click Walk-in / Cash Customer on Start POS Order. Owner: Allow Walk-in Customers and Ask Walk-in Name & Mobile are in Settings under Customers. With it on, the box also takes an address (optional) — it prints on that bill where a customer's address goes.
