Make your first sale at the counter

Pick a customer, add items, take the money, and end with a numbered bill you can print or share.

Steps

  1. In the side menu open Sales → Point of Sale. The Start POS Order page opens with your customer list.
  2. Click Select on a customer, or Walk-in / Cash Customer for a counter sale with no name. Not in the list? Click Add New Customer.
  3. The bill opens. Type in Search products by name, SKU, batch, or scan barcode and click Add to Cart on the product.
  4. Open the cart, check Qty and Net on every line, then click Checkout.
  5. Pick the payment method, check the Amount, and click Review & Pay. Tick every box on Confirm before paying, then click Confirm & Pay.
  6. The invoice opens with its bill number. Use Print / Download or Share to give the customer a copy.

Good to know

Counter shortcuts on a computer: F3 jumps to the search box, F2 opens and closes the cart, F8 is Checkout and F9 is Save Draft.
Walk-in / Cash Customer is ONE shared record used by every counter sale. Do not edit it and never turn it into a real customer — it is built to stay that way.
No Walk-in / Cash Customer button? Walk-in billing is switched off for your business in Settings.

Words used

WordMeaning
CartThe bill you are building at the counter. It is not a sale yet and does not show in Sale Invoices.
Walk-in / Cash CustomerThe shared record used for counter sales with no customer details. Every walk-in bill is written against this one row.
SaveKeeps the bill as a draft to finish later. Drafts are listed under Sales → Saved / Drafts.
Review & PayThe confirmation checklist shown before the money is taken. Switch it off in the POS settings gear for one-tap Pay.
Grey line under NetWhy the price is below MRP: Group Price ₹… or Last Bill Price ₹… (goods and services). Click it to see every price, with the bill date. Nothing at plain MRP. Last bill needs its Settings switch. Never printed.
Price below purchase priceA unit price below the product's cost is refused and reset to the selling price. Owners can turn off Block selling below purchase price (POS) in Settings to allow it with a warning.

A checked-out bill never reopens as a cart — clicking it takes you to the invoice — so the same sale cannot be billed twice. Start the next sale from Start POS Order.
