Customers who asked to stop WhatsApp messages

A customer who replies STOP gets no more WhatsApp messages from your business. You can see them on the WhatsApp page and remove them there.

Steps

  1. A customer who sends only STOP, Unsubscribe or Opt out (Hindi रोको or बंद करो, Telugu ఆపండి or ఆపు) gets no more WhatsApp messages from you through Saathi360.
  2. The word must be the whole message. “Please cancel my order” or “Is the shop closed?” is a normal message and reaches your Leads as usual.
  3. If the customer sends START (Hindi शुरू, Telugu ప్రారంభించండి), messages go to them again. START also counts as agreeing to offers; STOP takes that back.
  4. To see them, open Settings → WhatsApp and click Manage messages. Customers who asked to stop lists each number, the date and how it was added.
  5. Click Remove next to a number and confirm. From then on your WhatsApp messages can go to that number again.

Good to know

If the customer is already a lead, a note on the lead shows when they asked to stop or to start again. Their other messages keep reaching you.
Remove a number only when the customer asks you to message them again. Messaging someone who asked to stop makes them block your number, and Meta then lowers your number's rating.
Numbers marked Check were added by an older rule, when any message with a word like “cancel” or “stop” in it counted, such as “please cancel my order”. If you know the customer did not ask to stop, remove them.

Tapping Stop promotions on an offer message counts as STOP too. START lifts only a stop the customer sent; a number your team stopped stays stopped until you remove it.
